August 5, 2022 – Tandym Group, a recruitment, contract staffing, consulting and staffing solutions company, has acquired Longford & Company, a Boston-based technology consulting and executive search firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Tandym is backed by Mill Rock Capital, a growth and operations-oriented private investment firm that invests in well-positioned industrial companies in North America. “Longford has an excellent reputation in life sciences,” said Larry Dolinko, CEO of Tandym. “Longford not only has an outstanding track record in the industry, but also shares our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service through a highly personalized approach.”

Longford provides technology consulting and executive search services primarily to clients in life sciences, pharmaceuticals and other industries. The acquisition further expands the scale and scope of Tandym Tech, Tandym’s vertical technology division, and comes shortly after Tandym’s acquisition of Metro Systems. As a result of this partnership with Tandym, Longford customers will be able to access a broader range of services and expanded capabilities.

Diversified Search Group (DSG), a leading search firm backed by private equity firm ShoreView Industries, has acquired Alta Associates, a Flemington, NJ-based search firm founded by Joyce Brocaglia specializing in cybersecurity, IT risk management and data privacy. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, Hunt Scanlon Ventures facilitated the onboarding and transaction between the two organizations. “This is a strategic acquisition that will significantly expand our business offering in a key area that affects each of our clients,” said Aileen Alexander, CEO of Diversified Search Group. “Cyber security, data protection and resiliency are top priorities for boards and executives in all areas of our economy.
Excel Sports Management, an industry-leading sports agency, has agreed to acquire sports and entertainment executive search firm Nolan Partners. London-based Nolan Partners will continue to be led by Chief Executive Officer Paul Nolan and President Chad Biagini while operating as a new vertical within Excel’s real estate division. Primarily focused on executive and board level positions, Nolan Partners works on a global basis with clients ranging from sports teams, governing bodies, professional leagues, venues, agencies, broadcasters and other corporate organizations in sports. The firm also has a performance practice focused on the placement of business executives/sports directors, sports medicine specialists, sports scientists and recruitment specialists.
True, a global executive talent management platform based in Haddonfield, NJ, has acquired Hobbs & Towne, Inc. (HTI), the climate technology and sustainability executive search firm. Under the leadership of Andy Towne and Bob Hobbs, HTI will continue to serve its customers and offer a wider range of capabilities under True. True, one of the fastest-growing search companies of the last decade, reported global sales of $116.5 million last year. The company was ranked 7th in Hunt Scanlon’s top 25 ranking. Hobbs & Towne ranked 24th and was crowned the fastest growing search company of the year with a growth rate of 59 percent.
ZRG Partners, a leading consulting firm backed by private equity firm RFE Investment Partners, has acquired boutique strategy consulting firm Brimstone Consulting Group LLC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. “The complementary nature of our businesses has made Brimstone an obvious partner for ZRG as we continue to expand our portfolio of talent advisory solutions,” said Larry Hartmann, CEO of ZRG. “Continuing to ensure that a new CEO is successful with Brimstone’s proven process will create a new paradigm for CEO transitions.”
