MedAir Labs CEO discusses startup’s innovative technology at USPTO’s Invention-Con

The company’s rapid antigen test kit tests for multiple viruses with results in 10-15 minutes

CLEVE-LAND, August 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — President and CEO of MedAir Labs, Dr. William Kedia will discuss them Solon, Ohio-based startups innovative rapid antigen test kit at this year’s virtual Invention-Con: Inspiring and Redefining the Innovative Mindset, the annual United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) conference for independent inventors, entrepreneurs and small business owners. Kedia will participate in a panel discussion along with three other innovative leaders August 11th to share how they are using technology to drive positive change.

MedAir Labs Rapid Antigen Test Kit tests for multiple viruses—including COVID-19—with a nasal swab with accuracy that rivals a PCR test, and results are available in 10 to 15 minutes. According to Kedia, the test kit’s superior sensitivity and specificity will effectively reduce diagnostic costs and improve patient experience.

The company plans to submit an application for approval of the kit to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by the end of August.

MedAir Labs plans to commercialize the innovation as a point-of-care test, initially administered in physician’s offices, emergency centers and emergency rooms, with plans to offer it over-the-counter in the future.

The idea of ​​creating a startup focused on developing innovative health technologies to improve people’s quality of life was born in early 2020 during a fire pit conversation at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MedAir Labs, co-founded by Kedia, Murthy Talasila and Sonny Vermawas created to develop more accurate, effective and less intrusive solutions in support of the global health crisis.

Kedia served as the President of Family Medical Care Plus as a primary care physician, with offices in hudson and Tallmadgeout March 2002 until February of this year, when he sold the practice to focus on his role at MedAir Labs.
