7 Red Carpet-worthy celebrities who went to school in Texas and a Kardashian made the list

So many celebrities have gone to school in Texas and some of the hottest stars have walked down the same hallways that some students walk by every day.

Whether they grew up in the Lone Star State or educated themselves after establishing themselves in the public eye, some have graduated, others only attended a few semesters.

Many people know of big Texas stars like Matthew McConaughey who went to the University of Texas, but others would surprise you if you saw them on the list.

We’ve compiled a red-carpet-worthy list of people who may have sat at the same desks you’re sitting at today.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Pete, or better known as hot rapper Megan Thee Stallion, is a Houston native primarily from the South Park neighborhood and the Pearland area, where she attended Pearland High School before finding fame.

Despite living her rock star life with all the legendary performances, number one songs and world tours, Pete still found the time to earn her bachelor’s degree in health administration from Texas Southern University in December 2021.

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian Barker might be the one person you wouldn’t expect to be on this Texas list, but the reality TV star had a brief college experience in the state, attending Southern Methodist University for two years beginning in 1997.

However, she ended up transferring to a school in Arizona Life & Style, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts.

Post Malone

These days, Post Malone is releasing catchy Top 100 hits and touring the world, but before all that fame, the Dallas native went to school at Grapevine High School and was even voted Most Likely To Become Famous his senior year.

He quickly became the heartthrob of TV shows like Gilmore Girls and supernatural.

He has since returned to his home state and currently resides in Austin with his wife Genevieve and their children.

Probably the most notable contemporary artist from Houston, TX, Beyoncé Knowles continues to dominate the music industry with albums like Renaissance, lemonade and 4.

Travis Scott

Travis Scott grew up in Missouri City on the outskirts of Houston, where the rapper graduated from Elkins High School. He once remarked that his advisor there helped him through tough times. He also attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for a few years before dropping out to pursue his music.

The music artist still has a family that lives in Bayou City, and sometimes even Kylie Jenner and Stormi come to town to visit.

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson is long past Texas after her American Idol win in 2002, but before all that success, the critically acclaimed singer graduated from Burleson High School in Dallas, TX.

However, it still appears that she still loves to scream her home state at every opportunity.
